Nascendo acquires a participation in MySpares.com
Nascendo S.A. announces that it has
taken a 20% stake in MySpares.com, the first website dedicated
to spare parts for the professional audio, video and broadcast
industry.
Managers at B&C Holdings who already
manage an offline turnover of 1.5 million Euro found MySpares.com.
The company benefits from an experienced management team with
a track record in the professional video and broadcast market.
The spare parts market is estimated
at USD2.5 billion. MySpares.com already has agreements with the
principal manufacturers in the professional and consumer electronics
business that dominates the market. The companies supporting MySpares
cover nearly 80% of the professional video and broadcasting spare
parts market.
MySpares.com is setting up a completely
automated ERP system to better serve its clients in terms of availability,
price, purchasing and delivery of spare parts. This platform is
currently under development using a combine JD Edwards and Broadvision
solution.
Conor O'Donnell, MySpares.com founder
validated the new model: "being online will completely valorize
the business of selling spare parts which was more of an imposed
obligation than a business for most manufacturers in the past.
With our new ERP and server to client technology, we will be able
to provide thousands of technical workshops access to spare parts
information, purchasing, and several other services on our site,
including technical help desk, and specialised technical information
accumulated over the last 15 years by various manufacturers' service
centers".
Marin le Corre, Chief Executive of
Nascendo commented: "The founder of MySpares.com has a successful
track record in the industry. We are convinced that we have chosen
the right partner and Nascendo will bring its knowledge and experience
in the online business. The services that MySpares.com proposes
will dramatically increase client orders compared with an offline
model".
