Renzo BACCOLINI, 42,
is a founder of AREA (Analisi e Ricerche Economiche e Aziendali),
an economic and finance advisory firm with offices in Bologna
and Rome, serving major companies in Italy. Prior to AREA, Renzo
was senior economist and an executive officer of Prometeia. As
a project finance specialist focusing on public utilities, Renzo
also authored Le relazioni pericolose: progetti pubblici e risorse
private. Renzo graduated in economics from Bologna University
and holds a Master in economics from Columbia University.
Jose Carlos JARILLO, 45,
Mr. Jarillo is Professor of "Enterprise Strategy" at the University
of Geneva. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Jarillo has been Professor of
General Management and International Strategy, IMD, Lausanne.
Mr. Jarillo also holds the position of Senior Group Director for
Corporate Development at Campofrio (Spain) on a part-time basis,
and serves in several Boards of Directors, as well as being the
CEO of an Internet Start-up, active in the B2B sector. Mr. Jarillo
is "Doctor en Ciencas Economicas y Empresariales" (Ph. D. in Applied
Economics) from the University of Barcelona, Spain. He is also
"Doctor of Business Administration" from the Harvard Graduate
School of Business Administration, Harvard University, Boston.
Since 1980's, Mr. Jarillo has been heavily involved in consulting
activities from small local firms to large multinational corporations,
trough-out the world (FMC-Spain, Boehringer-Worldwide, Rio Tinto
